Frequently Asked Questions
We will visit you in your own home or from wherever you are leaving to go to your wedding. The initial consultation, which can be up to 6 months before the big day will be on the same basis, however there will always be flexibility here, especially if we are looking to accommodate other members of the bridal party.
Initially we covered the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, and the Welsh Marches, but the great news is that we are now in a position to extend our coverage as we have consultants across most of the Midlands area. The counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Leiccestershire and Oxfordshire can now be accommodated as well and you will, subject to availability on your Big Day, be able to benefit from a much more widespread service. We will of course still consider requests for consultations even outside of these areas, however it may be necessary to include travelling expenses when submitting our final quotation.
No, as we have found that many of our clients already have a stylist with whom they feel comfortable dealing with. Your make up is then applied after you return from your hairdresser.
It is never too early to get your skin into tip-top condition, the initial consultation will cover the basics of skin care, and a simple regime to suit your skin type can be drawn up for your benefit. We would suggest that if time allows, the initial consultation take place between 3 and 6 months before your wedding day.
We use one of the world's top four prestige cosmetic brands, which have proven to be of a high quality and long lasting. They are all dermatalogically, opthalmically and allergy tested, and has proved a great success with people who have sensitive skins.
We are more than happy if you wish to do your own make up on the day, and will limit the consultation to developing the skin care regime and assessing the most appropriate colours to suit your skin tone. We can also provide make up application training for Ladies that feel they may need some guidance in this area. Please ask us for our fees associated with this.
For Ladies who are confident in applying their own make up we are asked, what benefit can be gained by utilising our services? This will be your special day, and one on which you deserve to be pampered, however it is probably one of only a few occasions when you will be photographed professionally. Normal day-to-day make up can be insufficient under these conditions, especially if flash photography is involved.
Make up application, to a photographic standard, should take from 45-60 minutes, but do ensure you leave enough time as it is applied between your hair appointment and putting on your dress.
Colour Analysis is the process where you are assessed for the colours that work most effectively with your skin tone, and can be the starting point in choosing the colours of everything from the dress, the flowers and of course the cosmetics that suit you best.
